Organise a Fundraiser
The Liver Ireland Support Network (LISN) is committed to providing essential support, education, and advocacy for individuals living with liver disease. Our goal is to create a strong, compassionate community where patients and their families can find the resources and encouragement they need. However, we need your help to make this vision a reality. Organising a fundraiser is a fantastic way to contribute and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by liver disease and transplantation.

Why Your Support Matters
Liver Disease is now one of the top five causes of mortality in Ireland today, yet support and resources can often be limited. Our patient-led group aims to fill this gap by:
- Offering peer-to-peer support and sharing personal experiences.
- Providing up-to-date information on treatment options and management strategies.
- Advocating for liver disease and organ donation awareness and better healthcare policies.
- Hosting educational workshops and community events.
- Creating a safe space for emotional and mental health support.
Your fundraising efforts will directly support these initiatives, helping us to build a robust network of care and advocacy.
How You Can Help
We want to express our deepest gratitude for considering fundraising for LISN. Being a patient-led group, each of us has personally navigated the immense challenges that accompany a liver transplant. We have all felt the pressing need for a support group like ours. Your support is invaluable to us and enables us to make a real difference in the lives of those facing a liver transplant. Thank you for joining us in making a meaningful difference.
Organising a fundraiser is a fun and fulfilling way to support our cause. Here are some ideas to get you started:
1. Host a Charity Run/Walk: Organise a local charity run or walk. Participants can seek sponsorships from friends and family, raising funds for each mile they complete.
2. Bake Sale: Bring your community together with a bake sale. Encourage local bakers to donate their creations and sell them to raise funds.
3. Silent Auction: Collect donations from local businesses and artisans, and organise a silent auction. This can be done in person or online.
4. Community Car Boot Sale: Gather unwanted items from your neighbourhood and host a car boot sale, with all proceeds going to the support group.
5. Benefit Concert: Partner with local musicians and venues to host a benefit concert. Ticket sales and donations can go towards the cause.
6. Table Quiz: Organise a fun filled night for your community with a table quiz and raffle.
